Bosnia-Herzegovina Rogaining 2026

Competition Objective
The objective of the competition is to collect the highest possible number of points by visiting checkpoints (CPs) within the 8-hour time limit. Checkpoints are worth 3–8 points depending on their difficulty and distance. The point value corresponds to the tens digit of the checkpoint code. Each team may freely choose which checkpoints to visit, how many to visit and in which order.

Time limit: 8 hours
No MTB category will be organised.
Ranking
Teams are ranked according to the total number of points collected minus any penalty points. A penalty of 2 points is deducted for every commenced minute after the time limit. Teams finishing more than 30 minutes late are disqualified. In case of a tie, the faster team is ranked higher.

Each participant receives one map. No planning map is provided.
Terrain
The full course is approximately 28 km with about 2,100 m of ascent. About 40% of the terrain is forest, while the remainder consists of open alpine slopes and mountain pastures. The start is located at approximately 1,300 m above sea level in Babin Do. The competition area covers elevations between approximately 1,300 and 2,100 m.

HH55 – Men's Veterans (all born 1971 or earlier)
DD55 – Women's Veterans (all born 1971 or earlier)
HD55 – Mixed Veterans (all born 1971 or earlier, at least one female)
FAMILY – At least two members from the same family representing two generations, one member born in 2011 or later.
Recommended Equipment
- Weatherproof clothing suitable for mountain conditions.
- Gloves with good grip, suitable for scrambling on rocky terrain.
- Food and sufficient drinking water or sports drink.
- Basic first aid supplies (bandages, plasters, pain relief medication).
- Compass (mandatory for navigation).
- Emergency thermal blanket.
- Headlamp or flashlight.
- Waterproof mobile phone. It may only be used in an emergency to call for assistance or to report a damaged checkpoint.
The use of GPS navigation devices is strictly prohibited.
Competition Rules
Teams must navigate to the checkpoints shown on the map following their own route choice. Team members must remain together throughout the competition and the distance between any two members may not exceed 50 metres. The competition uses the SportIdent electronic punching system. Every team member must wear the issued SI card attached with the non-removable wristband supplied by the organisers. Each team member must punch at every visited checkpoint within one minute. The official finish time is determined by the last team member's SI punch at the finish station.
Forbidden Areas
Entry into areas marked with red hatching on the map is strictly forbidden. In olive-green mapped residential areas competitors may move only along roads and tracks shown on the map.
Entry Fees
Entry fee: €35 per participant.
SI card rental: €4 per participant (if required).
Entry fees are non-refundable in case of non-participation for any reason. If the event is cancelled due to force majeure beyond the organisers' control, entry fees will not be refunded.

Entry fees and any SI card rental fees must be paid at the time of registration. Teams whose entry fee has not been received by 20 October 2026 will not be allowed to start. Participants wishing to pay by invoice should enter the invoice details during registration.
SportIdent Punching System
The competition uses the SportIdent (SI) electronic punching system. Each competitor must have their own SI card. SI card numbers must be entered during registration, or rental SI cards may be ordered. SI stations support SI-9, SI-10, SI-11 and SIAC (SI Air) cards. SI cards with 128 or 192 memory records are available for rent for €4. A fee of €70 will be charged for a lost or damaged rental SI card.
Liability
Each participant is personally responsible for their own health, safety and actions during the competition. The organisers accept no responsibility for accidents or their consequences. For participants under 18 years of age, responsibility rests with the parent or accompanying adult.
Additional Information
The entry fee includes:
• Participation in the competition and official results.
• Non-removable wristband for attaching the SI card.
• One waterproof map for each participant.
• Course and event services.
The event will be photographed and filmed. Images and videos may be published after the event. Participants who do not wish to be photographed or filmed must immediately inform the photographer.
